On August 24, the intellectual property area of AZC Lawyers obtained the registration of the software "SAFE CANDY" before the Copyright Office of the United States of America, under registration number TX 8-185-616. This application, owned by Password Consulting Services LLC., a technology-based company domiciled in the United States and with presence in multiple Latin American countries, has been recognized by various media outlets for its novel approach to defending information systems against cyber threats.
AZC Lawyers, through its intellectual property division, currently represents various companies and entities in the protection of their intellectual property in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, and the US, as well as the European Union.
Andrés Felipe Madriñan, Master in Intellectual Property from Spain, director of the intellectual property area at AZC, when referring to the matter stated: "Currently our firm is in charge of the registration of various software applications and multiple trademarks nationally and internationally, which has allowed us, from our intellectual property area, to guarantee the protection of intangible assets and the interests of our clients not only in Colombia but also in strategic countries for the execution of their businesses."
