AZC abogados was awarded as the best IP firm in Colombia in 2019 (Best IP Law Firm 2019 – Colombia) by the European business magazine, Acquisitions International, within the framework of the AI Legal Awards that this important media outlet grants to the most outstanding firms in the industry.
The nomination was received last July, and from that moment the evaluation panel carried out the selection process of the firms that would be awarded in the 2019 edition. According to the British magazine, the award is granted based on merit, demonstrated expertise in services, client satisfaction, continuous commitment to excellence and innovation, as well as the extensive reputation in the market of each of the nominated firms worldwide, all of which requirements resulted in the granting of the recognition to AZC abogados as the best IP firm in Colombia for 2019.
This is the second time that a Colombian firm has received this award; in 2018, the firm Posse Herrera Ruíz from Bogotá D.C. was awarded, demonstrating the extensive track record and recognition that the Colombian legal industry is achieving worldwide.
Andrés Felipe Zafra, managing director of AZC abogados, stated upon learning of the granting of this important award that it “is the result of our firm's tireless pursuit of innovation in the legal sector and always seeking excellence in each of the services we provide.” Likewise, Dr. Ana María Silva, a member of the firm's IP team, highlighted that it was the first time that a local firm had obtained such a distinction, being a recognition of the hard and highly complex work carried out in that area.
