✈️ Your Rights as an Air Consumer
With Resolution 1375 of June 11, 2015, the Civil Aviation Authority consolidated the rules on the right of withdrawal and cancellation in the purchase of airline tickets.
1. Right of Withdrawal
- 48 hours from purchase to exercise withdrawal
- Maximum retention: $60,000 pesos (domestic tickets) or USD $50 (international), not exceeding 10% of the fare
- Refund within a maximum of 30 calendar days
- There must be at least 8 days between withdrawal and the domestic flight (15 for international)
2. Cancellation of the Trip
- You may cancel up to 24 hours before the flight
- The airline may retain up to 10% of the value (excluding taxes)
- Refund within a maximum of 5 business days
- Important: Cancellation does not apply to promotional fares
