Thanks to this significant advancement in medical science and engineering, CIDEIM and the i2T group were awarded on February 23, 2017, in the "App" category, for which 15 other projects from researchers worldwide were nominated for the Festival of Neglected Diseases of the London Institute of Tropical Medicine (ISNTD), as it allows community leaders to easily identify the disease.
"We do not rest in insisting that physicians become more aware of the pathologies in our territory to bring medicine closer to vulnerable areas through community-based surveillance, that is, giving tools to the community to achieve early detection of diseases," concludes Luisa Consuelo Rubiano Perea, medical epidemiologist and principal investigator of the project for CIDEIM.
