This federation is a trade organization with 30 years of experience that works to strengthen the national software industry, making it competitive and successful internationally. To achieve this, it brings together Colombian software companies and defends and promotes their interests before the Government, international competitors, and other bodies.
The federation works on the development of public policies, the promotion of training and competitiveness of firms in the sector, the generation of specialized sectoral information, and the exploration of global opportunities that position Colombia as a world-class technology provider.
Currently, Fedesoft has about 535 affiliated companies from across the country, representing approximately 50% of the total national software industry. The federation maintains agreements with government entities, units, and other associations to fulfill its purpose of defending and promoting the national software industry and particularly its members.
Although there has been an increase in intellectual property protection, Colombia is still far behind in this area compared to countries such as the United States and South Korea. Therefore, AZC Abogados has taken on the task of encouraging the industry to protect intangible assets.
