Business days and deadlines
Legal and contractual deadlines are rarely counted in calendar days. Count business days between two dates, or find the exact date a deadline falls due.
What this tool is for
Procedural deadlines, response times for a formal request, disciplinary hearings and contractual milestones are usually counted in business days. Counting them by hand is where deadlines get missed, especially in weeks with holidays moved to Monday.
Using Colombia's official holiday calendar (including holidays moved under the Ley Emiliani and those tied to Easter), the tool calculates how many business days lie between two dates and when a deadline of X business or calendar days expires.

The count excludes the start date and includes the end date.

Indicative calculation based on Colombia's national holiday calendar. It does not account for judicial recess, suspension of deadlines, ad-hoc non-working days, filing hours, deadlines counted in hours, or special rules of each proceeding or institution.
